Glimpses of May

Because I'm so behind, I'm just sharing a bunch of pictures from May.  Like I mentioned before, our spring weather has been A.MAY.ZING.  Seriously the best I ever remember.  We usually get a total of a handful of warm days in April through June.  This year we had week after week after week of warm and even HOT days.  We've already played in fountains five times (plus our pool and sprinklers a number of other times).  Salem's fountains aren't coming on until this Friday (lame!), so we've been to Monmouth, McMinnville, and Wilsonville for our fountain fun.  I haven't taken many pictures while we've been out and about (I'll let you figure out why ;), but here are some cute ones from home...

We borrowed Madi Olson's Pinkalicious bike, because I wasn't sure if Cooper would be interested in riding a bike.  She LOVES it!  Judson has learned to ride without training wheels, but apparently I only have videos of that...

I was just trying to get my pictures taken because Porter was DONE, but there was Cooper, sticking the purple and white bunny in and generally getting in my way.  :)

Our first baby to like the Bumbo-type seat!  Hopefully his thighs don't get much chunkier, or he won't fit.

Spring Pictures

So, I'm definitely struggling to get back into the blogging "habit."  Here's a post I started almost two months ago...

Cooper and Judson both have their half-birthdays in the spring.  It nicely coincides with Easter.  I can easily rationalize getting Easter outfits because we use them for their pictures, too.  (Plus we had Cooper dedicated at church two years ago in her Easter dress, and we had Porter dedicated a couple of weeks ago, while his shirt still fit.  :)  For the record, I got Cooper's dress for $9, so it's not like I have to do too much rationalizing.  :)

One month ago...

...I wrote my last post.  Sorry about that!  Life happened, I guess.

The weather has been AMAZING around here.  SO much sun and so many warm (even HOT) days!!  We've been busy.

In addition to that, Porter has been sleeping horribly.  As in, waking up almost every single hour all night long.  I'm not exaggerating.  Judson was sick a couple of weeks ago, which meant he was waking up, too.  And Cooper occasionally wakes up (I think she needs her adnoids out...we go in about that tomorrow).  After a particularly rough number of nights, I only had to get up FIVE (!!) times one night and it felt like a vacation.  Insanity!

My final excuse for not blogging is that the picture resizer I use for posting pictures on here hasn't been working and I need Nate to figure it out for me.  Hopefully very soon.  

Resurrection Day

There are MANY perks to having my parents live an hour and twenty minutes away.  A small one is that we get to attend our church for Easter, but then spend the rest of the day with my family.  It was a beautiful day (well, somewhat overcast, but warm and NOT rainy)...perfect for celebrating Jesus' resurrection!

I didn't get any pictures before church.  Too much to do to get out the door by 9:15, including Easter baskets, baths (not something we normally do in the mornings), packing food and changes of clothes for Vancouver, and so on.

I made a rhyming scavenger hunt for the kids to find their baskets.  They LOVED it, and Cooper frequently asks for "clues."  :)

Our afternoon and evening in Vancouver were as fun as ever.  My mom had worked so hard, as usual, despite being very sick for a week and a half beforehand.  We enjoyed great food, fun with family and friends (Jeremy Nelson and family came, as well as Anna's brother and his girlfriend), and lots of time outside.  The only bummer was that our kids had been up late the night before and Judson didn't nap.  He was SO excited about everything that he was just a little hard to tolerate.  Poor guy.

Judson got a baseball glove in his Easter basket, so the dads and Judson and Logan played baseball for a VERY long time.  Logan was happy hitting and Judson was happy trying to catch.  Win - win!

Cooper and Macy played together most of the day and were so sweet.
