We Share Everything

The kids love this book called We Share Everything.  It's about two kindergarteners (a boy and a girl) who keep fighting over toys and activities.  Every time they do, the teacher says, "Now look.  This is kindergarten.  In kindergarten we share.  We share EVERYTHING."  Finally after hearing this a few times, Jeremiah and Amanda decide to find something to share.  They end up sharing their clothes and their teacher freaks out.  Then they use her quote on her.

One day, after multiple readings, Judson and Cooper got a brilliant idea.  It was pretty funny.  :)

Judson's wearing Cooper's favorite outfit, which she calls her "Bend tank top" and is only worn at home these days.

Porter's first night in the crib

Porter's first night in the crib came when he was five months old.  He is actually the youngest of any of our babies to sleep in the crib.  (It wasn't finished being built when Judson was a baby and my dad had his heart attack until Judson was nine months old.  Then Judson was in it until Cooper was seven months old.)

Not going to lie.  I was THRILLED to get Porter out of our room!  :)

Before we rearrange the kids' rooms...

While Judson was spending the week with my parents and going the VBS at their church, I made sure to get the kids' rooms picked up and pictures taken before the room switching began.  (Cooper moved into Judson's room with him and Porter FINALLY moved out of our room and into the crib.)  Here are the 'before' pictures.  The bunk beds my dad is building aren't done yet, so no 'after' pictures for now...

The closet doors don't really close anymore...

Queen Elsa

Like nearly every little girl these days, Cooper LOVES the movie "Frozen."  I found this great Elsa dress for her.  It's so soft and flowy, unlike the Disney costumes.  She loves to wear it and dance and twirl around.  This particular day she was accessorizing and playing in her princess tent.  :)

Porter's Dedication

I'm trying to play catch-up, so will be mostly posting pictures for awhile...

Porter was dedicated at our church on June 1st.  They've recently changed how they do baby dedications, so all three pastors now pray during a dedication (one prays for the child, one for the family, and the last prays for the church family).  The third pastor is the guy behind me in the second picture.  Anyway, it was a sweet time of prayer for Porter and our family.

My parents came down and we had a great day together.

Here are the only pictures we got...

Fourth of July Weekend

(I started this a couple of days after we got home and never finished.  We're going to Hood Canal tomorrow, so I'm forcing myself to get it done. :)

When I heard that my parents were going to Bandon for the Fourth, I quickly confirmed with Nate that we could go.  I hadn't been to Bandon in a year, which is WAY TOO LONG.  I'm so glad we went!  We had the BEST weekend we've had in a long time, and the kids had so much fun.  Judson cried when we had to leave.

We didn't get down there until 11:45 pm on the third.  Judson and Cooper were so excited that they were awake until we left Reedsport (around 10:35).  Thankfully, they held up well for all of the next day's festivities.

We went to the rinky-dink parade on the Fourth.  I didn't watch any of it...just chatted with the MANY people I hadn't seen in far too long.  Most hadn't met Porter, which may be part of the reason I felt so popular.  :)

Afterward, my mom, Jess Nelson and her boys, and my friend Tiffany and her daughter, walked with my kids and I to the city park.  There was an event going on there which included free bounce houses.  Fun, fun!  We had lunch there, too, and then headed home for long naps.  I had one, too.  It was wonderful.  :)

To the Goddards' for their annual block party, then home to shoot off our fireworks before going back to town to watch the big fireworks.  It was a warm day and very mild evening...so unusual for Bandon in the summer!  I love small towns.  There was no traffic and no trouble finding a perfect parking spot.  The fireworks show was pretty spectacular and every one was Judson's favorite.  :)

We spent Saturday morning at Devils Kitchen - a PERFECT day at the beach, especially because Tiffany and Jessica joined us again.  We went to the Cowans' annual barbecue that afternoon, and my kids held up amazingly well without naps (and on the heel of two 11:00ish bedtimes).

We visited my Fish Market bosses on Sunday morning and just played around the house.  The kids had a blast playing tetherball outside and with my old My Little Ponies and Morgan's G. I. Joes.

Sweet Addisyn, almost 14 months, enjoying a hotdog

Don't mind the shaggy girl.  Her hair often looks like that.  She's not a fan of having it pulled back.

Tiffany and me with our munchkins.  Yes, Porter is the same size as Addisyn.  Story of our lives. :)

At Cowans'

My mom gave Judson his shorts.  When I saw the same ones for Porter, I couldn't resist.  :)
