And some more...

New dad!

Granddad...and Macy's eyes!

Grammie

After waiting so long for a grandchild, I think it's a little mind-boggling to my parents to have TWO all of a sudden. Yay for new babies!

Macy Danielle Boyd

I have a new niece and I'm just dying to get my hands on her! Macy Danielle Boyd was born at 5:29 this morning, which was her due date. Anna had quite a night, but was a rock star and pushed for three and a half hours without any drugs. At the end, a C-section was mentioned and that was all Anna needed to hear. She mustered up what little strength she had left to get Macy out.

My parents went up to visit twice today and these are all the pictures I have so far. They were all taken when Macy was about four hours old. She's such a cutie! I'll be sure to post more when my mom sends them...or when I get down there (Tuesday or Wednesday). I can't possibly wait until next weekend to go, so Nate's going to miss out, but then I think we'll go back down the following weekend.

The stats. My mom was excited because the nurses made little cards for the grandparents too. How sweet!

Memorial Park

I've failed to blog about a number of fun things we've done lately, including a very fun all-day gathering with The Roommates and their families and a great day at the river (Willamette) with the Arnolds and Brownlees. For some cute pictures of Judson and a couple of his girlfriends, you can read about it on Hannah's blog here.

Today Judson and I met Jess and her boys and one daycare kiddo in Wilsonville (as close to meeting in the middle as we could get). I'd looked online and found Memorial Park so we decided to check it out. We were not disappointed! The sun wasn't out at first, but eventually it made an appearance and the kiddos played happily in the water. Before that, however, they had lots of fun playing on some unique equipment. At least I haven't seen it in other parks I've been to. I didn't get pictures of most of it, but there was a huge jungle gym made of ropes, an interesting teeter-totter and merry-go-round, and some short climbing walls. There was even a fun sandy area that water flowed into. You can see it behind Judson in the swing picture. I didn't dare put Judson in there because he'd just try to eat the sand. He'll love it someday though.

A big slide set into a "hill" of rubber. Notice some of the bigger kids came equipped with cardboard...

Five month old Max is SO sweet!

Ready for the water!

The start of the little man-made river, which actually flows quite swiftly...

Despite the face, Judson LOVED the water... =)

I moved him to this fountain and he happily sat and played for at least twenty minutes. He would've stayed longer if I'd let him.

Such fun! There were actually a lot of kids there, but it's such a big place that they can really spread out.

Eight Month Photo Shoot

Seeing as how Judson's been to Sears so many times for pictures, I've figured out which photographers are good and which need more practice. (Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to avoid the ones who need more practice...) When he was four months old, we had a super sweet girl named Brooke. She usually works at Washington Square, but was filling in in Salem. The pictures she took were terrific! Well, imagine my delight when I called to make an appointment and heard she was coming back down this week! Once again, she did a great job. She took way more pictures than they normally do. I think the pictures do a good job of showing what he's up to these days: getting teeth, waving, standing, and making a lot of different facial expressions...

The lamb ones are my favorite. Believe it or not, these are just some of the lambs Judson's been given. (I grew up on a sheep ranch...) I love it! Now, if only we could have a live one. Just kidding. We have the space for one; maybe someday we'll have the energy to add some livestock to our lives. =)
