Both kids had refused to try on their costumes, but were happy to put them on today. Silly kids. Cooper was a purple princess and Judson was a SWAT officer. He chose the costume because it came with all sorts of accessories: a badge, working flashlight, hat, sunglasses, billy club (is that what it's called?!), handcuffs, radio/walkie talkie thing, and pretend binoculars. Of course those things have been dragged all over the house for days.
We had lots of fun today. We went to the DMV headquarters (where Grandma Becky and Aunt Mandy both work) for lunch (pizza) and trick-or-treating some of their friends/coworkers. The kids scored so much candy! Afterwards, we stopped by Garmin briefly to visit Daddy and some of his friends. More candy.
Naps were late and then we ate a quick dinner before going to a very nice nearby neighborhood (by Wes Bennett Park) where there were tons of trick-or-treaters. It was Nate's idea and made me a little nervous, but it was really perfect. There wasn't any traffic once we parked and walked a street over. The kids got LOTS of candy. So much that Judson lost track of his inventory and now I feel free to dig in. ;) Cooper was so tired, but she kept saying, "I want to go more houses."
It wasn't cold and we were home in just over an hour. A perfect Halloween! Now I'm off to raid the candy buckets...
