Because it's good for the soul.

I have a ton of pictures I want to post, but they're going to have to wait.  Judson, Cooper, and I are going to Bandon with my mom this afternoon.  We'll be there until Friday, and I'm really looking forward to being home and seeing friends.

But I have to post these two videos.  They're similar to the other video I posted, and I just can't help myself.  We sure do love this girl!  Please ignore the commentary in the background, as well as all of the toys Judson dumped out in his excitement at having Madi and Emmitt at our house.

And this one, because there is some serious snorting going on.

Happy Monday!

Easter

So I'm a little late with this post, but I know I at least have family members who will appreciate these pictures.  :)

This Easter was definitely different.  It was the first one we haven't spent with the Cowans, Goddards, and Phillips that I can remember.  I mostly just tried not to think about it.

However, it was nice to celebrate Jesus' resurrection with our church family for a change.  We had our service at Mission Mill, so the whole church body could meet together.  Judson and Cooper stayed with us and did so well.

It was FINALLY a sunny day, which was wonderful.  Resurrection Day should always be sunny!
In front of one of the two crosses we "blossomed" as part of the service...so pretty!  These were taken with my phone.  I wanted to at least have something if disaster struck one of the kids' spiffy little outfits.  :)

After church, we headed straight to Vancouver to spend the day with my family, Anna's brother Jake and his girlfriend Shayla, and Jeremy, Jess, Logan, and Max Nelson.  It was very fun, but definitely tiring with five little people (three and under...Logan turned four the following Saturday)!

Here are way too many pictures.  :)

One of my favorites!

So hard to believe that last year Macy was just a little older than Cooper is right now.  (She was a lot easier to take pictures of last year! :)
Let the Easter egg hunt begin!

Found it!

Logan

Max

Neither Max nor Macy wanted to be in our picture.  Judson wasn't exasperated, but he sure looks like he was in this shot.  :)

The table looked lovely and dinner was delicious.  My mom outdid herself once again!

A Spot of Tea

Paul and Becky brought us a non-girlie tea set the other night because Judson loves drinking tea.  He was thrilled with the endangered species cups and saucers and we decided to have a tea party while Grandma and Papa were here.  It was so much fun!  Becky had Judson saying "spot of tea" with an English accent, which provided many laughs.

Gorilla cup

Orangutan

Leopard

Tiger

Paul had him trying to get his pinky in the air.  It just resulted in holding the cup in some really awkward ways. :)

Cheers!  (Grandma had the panda cup.)

Big Night

Tonight is a big night at our house.  It's Judson's first night in his new room, and more importantly, in his BIG BOY BED.  It used to be Morgan's bed and Judson insists we refer to it as "Uncle Morgan's bed." :)  Up until bedtime, he was saying he was "almost" ready for a big boy bed, but he was still going to sleep in his crib.  Somehow we changed his mind.  He went down easily and I don't anticipate any problems.  Time will tell.  I'm trying not to be too sentimental, but it does make me a little sad that my first baby is growing up so quickly.  (I did nearly throw my back out lifting him out of his crib this morning, so I'm reminding myself of that tonight.  :)

Judson and all of his "cozies"

Of course, it's also a big night for Cooper.  She graduated from the pack-n-play to the crib.  This is the fourth room the poor girl has slept in during the past six months.  Recently she's bounced around a lot, as we moved her out of the guest room so Nate and I could move in there.  Then, when we were working on our old room (Judson's new room...pictures to come soon.  We need to get a few more things done first), she had to move back in with us for about a week.  I'm glad to have her in her permanent room.  She's been waking up a lot again, since I couldn't really let her cry when she was in our room.  Hopefully that will be remedied soon!

Yes, she sleeps with all of those things and now a bumper.  Don't report me.
