Thanksgiving

We had a really nice Thanksgiving with my family. Morgan and Anna hosted, and they did a fabulous job. They recently(ish) got a beautiful new table, and Anna set it so nicely! And, as usual, we had tons of delicious food. Judson was very happy to get to partake this year. :)

We were hoping to get a nice family picture for my parents' Christmas card, but unfortunately that didn't happen. (There was a certain little miss who decided she just wasn't up for it.) So, here are some candid shots and a not-so-great picture of the Moodys. (I am happy to report, however, that we got some great family pictures on a different night, so I'll share them later.)

Little Rocker

Somehow I don't think this is what Carter's had in mind when they designed this shirt...

Balls

Judson loves to carry around as many balls as possible. It's so funny to watch him pick them all up. He often drops one or more and has to start over, but never gets frustrated by it. I was finally able to get a picture of him with his beloved golf balls. I realize they will have to disappear once he learns to throw. :)

A Little Snow

We got a small dusting of snow on Monday night and a little more yesterday afternoon. We bundled up and went outside briefly. (It never got above freezing and I don't currently have mittens for Judson, so his little hands were awfully cold. He was not happy when I took him back inside, however.)

Eating Utensils

The other night, when Judson was eating dinner, we decided to try out his chubby little fork. Nate or I would stab a piece of food and then Judson would take the fork and feed himself. He loved it! We'd all clap and start the process over again.

Yesterday morning, Nate decided to try the same thing with Judson's spoon and oatmeal. Judson proceeded to get part of the oatmeal in his mouth and then he'd start clapping and send the rest of it flying everywhere. Oh, swell. :)

This kiddo has a mind like a steel trap. If we do something once, he doesn't forget it. I fear unlearning the clapping is going to take awhile...

A Discovery

For the past few months, being in the nursery at church has not been Judson's favorite thing. Week after week, we've shown up after church to find him looking awfully sad and clinging to one of the adults. After a rocky start today (Nate dropped him off without me and he immediately started screaming...he doesn't usually do that), we came back at the end to find a very happy little guy. It turns out they gave him some snacks and his mood immediately changed. Why am I not surprised?! :)
